Halloween Mantel

Today my daughter and I worked on decorating our house for Halloween.  We started with the fireplace mantel.  I found the cutest Halloween cat at Hobby Lobby so he is the center of attention on our mantel.  We mostly used a leaf garland, pine cones and lots of raffia pumpkins.  Then we sprinkled a few creepy skull candles in.

My favorite witch, by Jim Shore

The festive fireplace looked so good it made the windows look plain.  So we fancied them up, too!

And I can't resist showing you Yankee Candle's take on American Gothic.  Since Grant Wood is from Iowa and one of my favorite artists, I had to get it.  Love it!

  1. Looking so cute and festive for the Fall/Halloween season. I have to get my Halloween stuff out soon. This coming Wed, I have a before and after party that I would love to have ya:) I have a nice group of gals that participate with me, and you will be sure to meet some new blogging friends...with like minds:)

  2. Cute cats. Like them placed on the books.

  3. The mantle turned out really cute. I am loving the elephant circus picture also. Not your typical artwork. Love it.

  4. Looking so festive! I love fall decorating.
I think you and your hubby should dress like the Grant Wood farmer & wife for Halloween.
