Happy Hour #13 Shandy Dandy

Welcome to another Happy Hour!!  I was researching some drink recipes for Happy Hour this week and came across this recipe from Better Homes and Gardens.  It's called a Shandy Dandy.

I love beer but I'm always hesitant to try darker beers because they taste bitter to me.  So with this drink, the ginger ale gives it a sweet, light twist that cuts through that bitterness.

Here is the Shandy Dandy recipe, straight from Better Homes and Gardens!


4 ounces (1.2 cup) good quality dark stout or porter beer (or nonalcoholic beer)

4 ounces (1/2 cup) chilled ginger ale or ginger beer


Place dark stout beer in a serving glass. Pour ginger ale atop. Makes 1 (8-ounce) serving.
